Somehow, it’s September. The kids are back in the swing of school, the humidity is (allegedly) starting to break, and if you’ve driven past a certain plantation lately, you may have already spotted a pumpkin or two sneaking onto the scene. Before we fully surrender to fall, though, there’s a seriously packed month ahead in the Lowcountry — so here’s what’s on our radar.

Blink-182 at Credit One Stadium — 9/1 Kicking the month off with one of the biggest stadium shows Charleston’s seen all year. If you’ve got tickets, you already know.

Lowcountry Jazz Festival — 9/4–9/6 A full weekend of live jazz around the city to ease you into the month. Great excuse for a Labor Day weekend outing that isn’t just another cookout.

Labor Day Weekend, Lowcountry-Style — 9/4–9/6 Between Music on the Green, the 2nd Annual Taco & Margarita Festival, and Build A Barrel, there’s no shortage of ways to close out summer the right way.

Cheers, Charleston! Halls Restaurant Week — 9/10–9/22 Two full weeks to eat your way around some of downtown’s best tables. Make the reservations now — the good ones book up fast.

Charleston Arts & Crafts Expo — 9/11–9/16 A week of local makers and artists showing their work around the city — always a good one to wander through with coffee in hand.

Zac Brown Band: Love & Fear Tour — 9/17 One night only, and it’s going to be a big one.

The Summerville Sweet Tea Festival — 9/19 About as Lowcountry as it gets. If you haven’t been, this is the year.

MOJA Arts Festival — 9/24–10/4 Charleston’s flagship celebration of Black arts, culture, and heritage returns for its annual eight-day run, with programming happening all over the city.

Home Team BBQ’s 20th Anniversary — 9/25 Twenty years of consistently great barbecue is worth celebrating, and we imagine they’ll do it right.

Boone Hall Plantation’s Pumpkin Patch Opens — 9/25 Yes, already. We don’t make the rules, we just report the news.

Southern Screams Haunted House Reopens — 9/26 Which means the pumpkin patch and the haunted house are opening the exact same week some of you still have your Halloween skeletons up from last year. We see you, and we respect the commitment.
